WASHINGTON TWP – Republican Tom Young today announced his candidacy for the 42nd Ohio House District. Young’s announcement was welcomed by the current Representative for the 42nd House District, Niraj Antani (R-Miamisburg), and Montgomery County Republican Party Chairman and State Representative for the 40th Ohio House District, Phil Plummer (R-Dayton). Young also received endorsements from Washington Township Trustees Sharon Lowry and Dale Berry, Miamisburg City Councilman Ryan Colvin, and Miami Township Trustee Don Culp. The 42nd House District in Montgomery County encompasses Washington Township, Miamisburg, West Carrollton, Moraine, and Germantown, and includes portions of Centerville, Kettering, and Springboro.

“After thoughtful consideration, I have decided that I am prepared to make the commitment to serve the citizens of 42nd District as their next State Representative. I know that I can provide the strong conservative leadership at the Statehouse that the residents of the 42nd District deserve and have come to expect. My commitment to my fellow citizens is that I will work tirelessly to be an effective voice and advocate for their interests in the Legislature.
